Now is the time to be the Bo Jackson of the mountain scene...
Snow is melting fast and duel sports days on both the snow and dirt are super easy right now.

There's about 12 miles of newly built single-track open in Genoa, NV just over Kingsbury Grade about 25 mins from South Lake Tahoe. These new trails were built by the Carson Valley Trails Association about a year ago. They're another non profit volunteer group of mainly hikers and equestrians, but the trails are all open to bikes. Support them if you can, they're doing great stuff - the more mtn bikers the better. Check out a map of the trails here: http://www.carsonvalleytrails.org/docs/GenoaFoothill/ProjectMap.pdf

We've been riding 2 loops, the 10 mile Discovery Trail and also a shorter version by dropping down the lower section of Sierra Canyon trail (that's the one that goes up to the Rim Trail). Plus Genoa is a cool old town to base off with hots springs and an old bar.

Plus the trails in Tahoe are melting fast too, yesterday I checked out Powerlines and it's mostly clear between Ski Run Blvd and Cold Creek bridge. Another week or two and it'll be completely clear - Corral Trail following that. Oh and don't forget to vote for Corral on the Bell Built Grant!
