DFL Again (SSPBE)
It seems I only ride with SSO and the crew about once a year. That's because it takes me a year to recover between Punk Bike Enduros. I though that some of the road miles I've been logging this winter would help me this year, but I was wrong. This year was great, and it was fun to see so many familiar faces from MTBr.com. Here are a few pics.
Good turnout for the ride. The word is out that Joe throws a great event.
Just like last year.
Waiting to start.
Your congenial Punk Host.
I had to resist the temptation to grab about $20,000 worth of bikes and run.
Catch Him! He's got Lucky Charms!
OK, don't try to catch him that hard.
Hiker - Biker conflict.
32Seventeen riding hard out of the gate.
Mass start of another stage.....
...which ended up down by the lake again.
One of the coveted punks. I got mine near the start when SSO dropped them all out of his pack. Lets face it, it was the only way I'd ever get one.
Mugg's secret. His camera is heavier that his Moots.
The big creek crossing. None of my pics turned out too well.
Some folks were impatient for the keg stop and rolled their own.
Becky wonders why that seat was open.
A big climb on the south side of the lake.
Derby Time!
Thanks Joe and all the other helpers for a great event. Special thanks to Mark for taking it to a higher level by choosing to use the singlespeed and for hanging back to provide encouragement to me on so many of the hills an tough spots.
Cheers
H

Gotta love a guy...
...who shows up to enduros with a pannier rack bolted to his bike!
Thanks for the pix and write up man, and it's always a pleasure riding with you, even if circumstances make it a rarity!

Thanks for the photos and humor!
The photos and commentary by you and the other guys are great. One of my co-workers asked where the naked guy was. She finally recognized the more formal attire.
I guess this is the kind of spirit that will make SSWC '05 a great time!
