On top of the right hand stanchion the grey knob is. Turning this in will increase spring preload. It compresses the spring and gives you less sag. Keep in mind that it doesn't make the overall spring any stiffer.
On top of the left stanchion you have two adjusters. The red one on the top is your rebound adjuster. Turning it in (clockwise) will increase rebound damping and therefore make the fork rebound slower. The silver one below is the VA (Volume adjust). As you might know, air gets "harder" when it compresses. Inside of the fork there is air. Turning the adjuster in (clockwise) will make the room where the air is, smaller. Because of that the fork gets more progressive, which means it gets harder and harder to compress the further you get into the stroke.
On the bottom of your left leg (the gold knob) is your Low Speed Compression (LSC). There is a total of 9 clicks. Turning in more LSC will mak the fork compress slower on Low Speed hits. Low Speed hits is bobbing from pedaling, brakedive, etc. You probably understand what I mean.
If you want to adjust High Speed Compression, you can play around with the shimstack inside the left leg. But you shouldn't worry about this, the stock tune works just perfect for most people. HSC is when the fork compresses fast, on drops, square edge rocks, etc.
I hopw this made you a little bit more confident in playing around with the adjusters. They are there because you're supposed to turn them, so don't be shy regarding trying different setups.
1. The golden knob. It essentially adjust LSC, but adding more LSC will also affect the blow off point for the HSC. It won't affect the HSCin itself, only the point where it goes from LSC to HSC.
2. There is no valve for air. Many people confuse the Volume Adjust with air preload. What I meant by saying it's air inside the leg is that it's just that, air. It's no air pressure. But the pressure will increase when the fork compresses.
