Kona Sutra vs. Raleigh Sojourn

Compact frames supposedly dialed into touring rigs with disc brakes.
Both fail with not really offering a low enough granny for steep hills.
Kona offers the BB7, where Raleigh does the BB5.
Price difference is probably $100+ more for the Kona.
With the rest of the parts, does one bike offer more for the bang,
or is it a push?

Was looking at the Surly LHT, and the REI Randonee, but some friends threw these
into the consideration brew.
Thanks for any thoughts,

Bump.
I know you guys are basically using mountain bikes, but you also really know your
parts/gear. Can someone take a look at the drivetrain/wheelset, hubs/headset,
etc. And give me the lowdown on which of these bikes is offering the better parts?
For instance, the Raleigh is offering the Joy-tech hubs (Taiwan) and the Kona is offering the Shimano 52? hubs. When I looked at the reviews on the Shimano, they were poor, so I guess that one is a push.
Thanks,
Lyndon

The Raleigh is a nice bike but super heavy, and if it fits, i think the parts are better enough on the Kona to warrant the price difference. I would get the Sutra, personally.

Also, the commuting touring and ride reports section of roadbikereview.com would be a good place to get some opinions.

Thanks M.S.
I posted their first, and got a bunch of nothing about comparing the REI Randonee and the
Long Haul Trucker, as that one was a 700C bike and the other was 26". If the pluses and the minuses of a bikes qualities can't be discussed because of wheel size. I don't know what to say. I appreciate your thoughts.
