Trying to decide between the X2's and M4's for my SS 29'er. I guess you can never have too much brake, but wondering if the M4's are overkill for essentially XC SS'ing. I am replacing a set of Formula K24's. Wondering if anyone has gone with the X2's and has found themselves wishing for a little more stopping power. Thank You in Advance!
Why not M4 in front and X2 in back? It is a very popular combo. I love my M4s front and rear,. Lots of modulation and great power. Best levers I have ever felt.
x2s are stupid and illogical for all but a poseur weight weenie who wants to impress his girlfriends on the weight weenie forum. get the X4s and just get a 160mm rotor out back

Maybe they are useless to you, but they are perfect for me on my FuelEx I in no way need to spend the extra cash on M4s being 120lbs. X2s are plenty of brake for me.
go for the m4 its worth the money i was going to get x2`s but thought why not get the better ones for a few £££ more.i have them on my cdale rize running a 203 front and 183 bk they are great. gonna change them
I don't think the M4s are "better." I've run both on different rigs. I love both. I think the M4s probably have more "ooommph," but the lever feel and modulation on both sets were about identical for me.
I have a 09 on the front and a 10 on the back only little differences in the caliper but still good make sure you bed them in properly, my new rear has been on a week now and working fine front has been on a year with no issues come to think of it i've not even touched it. You well be happy with them once bedded in and bpc is set how you want it.
