ISO Tab Facing

I've seen references to this but don't understand how it's done. Is this one of those "take it to a shop" deals or is there a method to do it at home? The reason I ask is that my new fork (misfit) seems to have the ISO mount a bit too far inboard so the edges of the caliper adapter, washers, caliper, and outter pad all rub the rotor. I need to face 1-1.5mm off the tab.

Some shops have a special tool that faces the ISO disc brake caliper taps to make them parallel so the caliper will sit properly against the frame to help minimize caliper/rotor alignment issues.

If you have the tool, you can do it yourself. If not find a reputable shop with the special tool to do the job.

BTW, its not cheap. Most retailers will have it avail for purchase for around $150.00

That is unfortunate. I guess the next question is does anyone know a shop in NW Houston that has one? I have a feeling my normal LBS doesn't.
