Definitely want to ride Saturday. I'd be down for Skeggs (from CM08) or Waterdog.

Go to the map and look for gate CM08. Note that it is on Starr Hill Road.

Assuming you are heading north on Skyline, go past the Skeggs point lot and be looking for Swett Road. Take a left on to Swett and follow it until it ends in a "T" at Starr Hill Road. Take a left at Starr Hill and keep going down until you arrive at CM08.

See you at 10:30.

Michael

I might be down for this (starting anytime from 9~10:30 is fine with me). If I can stop feeling like sh!te I'll show up at CM08. Same basic route / pace as before or something different? I liked the route we took last time and the "social" pace was nice too.

Same route. Mostly same pace, though perhaps a tad faster, i.e less session time.

For someone who hasn't ridden with you folks before, what's the "same route" so I can mark my map before I go?

Also, what distance are you guys going to ride?

I'm in the "maybe" category also. I have some kind of chest congestion/achy body thing going on. If I feel better tomorrow, I'm in for Sat.

Ride

I'm in. See you all there at 10:30.

I'm gonna shoot to be there at 10 so I have time to stretch out and warm up... I haven't been on the mountain bike in two weeks, all I've had time for is road riding.

Okay. If I can get the wife's approval, I'll be there at 10:30.

How long will the route take? I'd like to know how much water to bring.

Last time we were riding for about 3 hours, including plenty of session time at both the Resolution Root and the Manzanita Rock Wall.

Would like to come out and give it a go. Only been to skeggs once. Not sure how I compare to a social-paced ride. Only one way to find out. 10:30 still I hope.

Well, once again, that was fun. Nine riders joined the CM08 crew today. There should be a little video posted soon by Mike.

We'll do it again as soon as possible.

Was a blast to tag along. Sorry for holding up the rear, but seriously it was a blast, never felt pressured. First time with MTBR group and definately want to do more. Albiet with some conditioning in between.

Perfect Saturday

Go for a fun ride with friends, get home to chocolate brownies and "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" on TV
Maybe a drive-in with the family to finish it all off.

Edit: this scene was just on. hahahaha

Watch out for that tree!

That was a good time. Not nearly as painful as I had expected. SS is fun out there, but would have been better with suspension. Still loads of fun.

Here's a short clip from the ride. I'll try to get the rest up soon. I have lots of editing to do.

I've got a loop from CM08 that should fit the bill. Weather permitting, let's shoot for the 24th.

I'm pretty sure I rode every single track in the park, with the exception of Giant Salamander and South Leaf on Saturday...feeling pretty proud of my 48 year old fat ass for surviving, escaping with only a smashed finger (brake lever meets tree) and an annoyed wife . . . would like to see the route you guys took. Here was mine: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/15950676 (let me know if I missed any of the good parts!)

That's a big ride you did. We may have to do an intermediate ride before we hit up something that big.

I wasn't able to make the last one (contrary to what I said), so I took the GF out and rode your posted route later that day. I'd love to tag along for the next ride, so I'll keep watching here, and make sure I can make it this time.

Ride is posted as "weather permitting," so we'll have to wait and see what kind of weather we get over the next week and a half.

Im down to ride this weekend. Been rockin water dog rides the last few weekends, wanna get out and do something. Could do demo (is it accessible?), Skeggs, whichever. Looks promising for excellent conditions this upcoming weekend. Would prefer Sunday, but could do either day. I'd wanna carpool because I'm cheap and usually bring food.

I'm game for a ride this weekend if weather permits. Heard Demo is pretty good after wet weather. I'm always up for Skeggs also. Just want to ride!
