Hi...looking to ride with anyone whose up for a ride somewhere in the bay area-either Demo, Waterdog, Pacifica-whatever as long as your cool riding with a novice/inter rider-tired of riding alone...and always riding St. Joes-thanks
Saturday at 1030 sounds good....
Um..never been...so is there a address or something I can look up in order to get there..Im leaving from West San Jose...thanks
Go to the map and look for gate CM08. Note that it is on Starr Hill Road.
Assuming you are heading north on Skyline, go past the Skeggs point lot and be looking for Swett Road. Take a left on to Swett and follow it until it ends in a "T" at Starr Hill Road. Take a left at Starr Hill and keep going down until you arrive at CM08.
See you at 10:30.
Michael

Darn. I was looking at riding Skeggs on Saturday, but I'll need to get out earlier. Bout 8 or 9 AM. If you guys change your mind on times, please post.
I might be down for this (starting anytime from 9~10:30 is fine with me). If I can stop feeling like sh!te I'll show up at CM08. Same basic route / pace as before or something different? I liked the route we took last time and the "social" pace was nice too.

I'm gonna shoot to be there at 10 so I have time to stretch out and warm up... I haven't been on the mountain bike in two weeks, all I've had time for is road riding.
Would like to come out and give it a go. Only been to skeggs once. Not sure how I compare to a social-paced ride. Only one way to find out. 10:30 still I hope.
this looks like fun! i'm gonna make it out tomorrow - if anybody needs a ride i'm leaving from mountain view and have rack space PM me and we can txt/call coordinate
Was a blast to tag along. Sorry for holding up the rear, but seriously it was a blast, never felt pressured. First time with MTBR group and definately want to do more. Albiet with some conditioning in between.
Go for a fun ride with friends, get home to chocolate brownies and "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" on TV
Maybe a drive-in with the family to finish it all off.
Edit: this scene was just on. hahahaha

Looks like a family ride at the DOG. I might be able to get a shuttle or two of Carlmont after. We could make room for one more. Wanna blow the dust off the big bike?

Wanted to say thanks to everyone who showed up-and especially to SVSocrates for showing us the way and great choice of a loop! First time there and had a blast...thanks Bap for the ride as well! Hope to ride with you all again soon....Oceandive-keep it up! You did great! Any time you want to ride...hit me up-take care all-cheers p.s. if work permits im down for the 24th.
I'm pretty sure I rode every single track in the park, with the exception of Giant Salamander and South Leaf on Saturday...feeling pretty proud of my 48 year old fat ass for surviving, escaping with only a smashed finger (brake lever meets tree) and an annoyed wife . . . would like to see the route you guys took. Here was mine: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/15950676 (let me know if I missed any of the good parts!)
I wasn't able to make the last one (contrary to what I said), so I took the GF out and rode your posted route later that day. I'd love to tag along for the next ride, so I'll keep watching here, and make sure I can make it this time.
"warning"
my buddy and I got stung by bees (2 stingers on me and 1 on my friend) at the resolution root last sunday. Must be a behive nearby...ouchhh!!
Im down to ride this weekend. Been rockin water dog rides the last few weekends, wanna get out and do something. Could do demo (is it accessible?), Skeggs, whichever. Looks promising for excellent conditions this upcoming weekend. Would prefer Sunday, but could do either day. I'd wanna carpool because I'm cheap and usually bring food.
I'm for Demo. Only been there once. Anyone else? Tsimbu can't be any more obvious. I'm open for Sat or Sun but prefer Sat. Got to support the Niner's and watch them play!
