Bean FeSST VI - Oct 25
Single Speed ride and Mexican Food Pot Luck at the Shinglemill trailhead - Buffalo Creek trails. Ride starts at 10 AM. Bring some Mexican themed food to share after the ride.
Most of you know the drill. It might look like I've picked a date that accommodates the weddings, races in moab, and ballyhooing in Nebraska, but it basically boiled down to me being punked at work for most of the month. Oct 31st is out because everyone knows it snows on Halloween, so scheduling that date would be stupid cause then we'd have to ride in the snow.
As usual there will be a few of us camping out on Saturday night, maybe a night ride, maybe not. Geared bikes will not be shunned.
Chirs, feel free to park the RV like you did last year, that worked out great.

I'm down...bringing the stealth geary...you'll never even know it has a few gears and weighs at least 5443.108 grams(that's 12 lbs for you non metric folk) more then your bike.

Shortly after the Kelsey campground on your left you climb a hill and see a "hiker crossing" road sign. Slow down and hang a left on the dirt road (FS road 550) after that sign. From that point on you are on the map posted above. |

Update: made it down in time to see the team beat Boulder 8-0 1team stands in the way of our boys going to Quebec in Feb. and that is Aspen we play them at Pepsi Center mon. night!

No matter what the conditions, and knowing LP's timing it's going to be cold, I always have a great time.
Nice to meet the new crowd and great to see old friends.
I took a couple pictures, made it tough to shoot with the low lighting.
