2009 Team M6 evo teaser

Its that time of year and I am getting frames ready for some of the teams & riders we work with. This is the refined version of the M6 evo we were prototyping last season based on racer input from Matti Lehikoinen & the boys from CRC team.
The frame features the G3 adjustable drop out and a new Adjustable headtube with + or - 1 degree. The headtube is very simple & light and uses the same bearing peices as the internal 1 1/8" flush headsets in the rotaiting cups. You can still use a standard with this setup .
The frame has the ability to run both the 10.5X 3.5 shock for 9.5" travel and a very m6 type feel or the 9.5X 3" shock for 8.5" travel and a livlier feel while maintaining the same leverage ratio. The mono tubes have been slimmed down and the frame comes in at 9.2 lbs.

Awesome! What would be the HA and BB height ranges with the 8.5" configuration? W/ the 9.5" configuration?

teams only as it is still in development, and changing the travel does not affect the geometry. In the middle settings for medium, 64.5 Ha, 14.2" BB, 46.3 " WB .

Hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the possibility to run a shorter stroke shock. Who needs 9.5" of travel these days anyways? Still 83 mm BB and 150 mm dropouts?

I guess you have to give the pros what they want- but I see this hurting the sales of M6's as customers will likely be wanting to wait with hopes of this bike becoming a reality. So let me guess.....next thing is that the SS will now be made with the adjustable dropouts? Especially since your in between batches now?

On a side note- it looks badass, and I think that the adjustable head angle is pretty slick- like what's on my Konig.

stunning, the combo of the dropouts and the HTA are a deal maker in my book. Getting both of those in and still keeping the weight to low 9's is very surprising.

Will this be replacing the M6? But yea, VP2 linkage would be nice. The new linkage is what i'm waiting for before i upgrade anything.

This is a team prototype that will be raced this season by our sponsored racers on the WC cuircut this season & is not replacing the M6.
The VPP shock rate has been tweeked a bit.

It looks very nice! And even better that it's the exact same weight as a small SlopeStyle. I wonder if production frames will be just as light.

This frame gives me man-swelling in my loincloth...

The ability to switch between 2 different shock sizes w/o changing lev. ratios sounds like a really good idea for a production bike... I'm just sayin'...

Nah I bagged an M6 already. Wouldn't have changed my mind after seeing this.

TBH I prefer the gnar badass looks of the non-Evo frame. Straight clean tubes for me, Sir.

Bendy stuff is for, uh, certain other bike manufacturers.

Hey, I notice you have different looking bolts holding the upper swing link. One of the things that drives me nuts about my m3 is that those bolts come loose too easy. Even after some loctite was applied. Are they the same? Also, would just like to say that all of the new Intense bikes that I have seen lately are really really nice. They always have been, but the current lineup knocks it outta the park. Good job. Love my m3.

dear mr. intense,

the troll killer thinks that is one sick frocking bike!

what the troll killer needs to know is will it fit 650b wheels? see the attached jpeg for reference.

heck if the socom would fit these wheels the troll killer would be writing you a check tomorrow!

¡enhorabuena!

Any chance of seeing a pic of the headtube ID with the adjustable sleeves removed?
I'm very curious about alignment. Are they 'keyed' somehow?

The one thing about Intense is that when you think they have gotten the lines figured out, they come up with nicer lines on their bikes. So I am looking at this frame and think, how does someone come up with that? It's nuts. Yet I am sure but hard to believe, the one after this will be even better. It seems as if they are always 1 or 2 designs ahead of the field.

I have to ask: why you didn't make a custom sticker for the M6? use the old one just don't seems right...

I know I'm a pain in ... but I love the brand (I have one of my one), and some details ruin the all image!

that thing is the bomb....
but just one question:
since the dropouts are adjustable: istn´t there any kind of instability which could come with the drillings ?

btw: if anyone want to buy my current m6... i am def. ready for the evo...
[as long as the bos stoy will fit ]

Hey, the last M6 Evo frame in the CRC pic has a normal 1 1/8" headtube? Not adjustable?

Maybe they call it Uzzi FRO.....
As far as I am concerned I do not really care about the name. If it is a successor of the Socom (and by looks it is) I want one.

I'm already looking at the garage on how to make some more space for this bike (Socom/Uzzi FRO????)....I'm looking forward to some Sea Otter coverage, would love to be on that side of the Atlantic for it. If anyone can provide good close up pics and specs of this bike it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

The new 951 frame weight is quoted as 9.5lb and this EVO is quoted as 9.2lb. Am I reading correctly that the EVO will be lighter than the 951? When will the EVO be available to the public?
