I gotta find out where this stuff is near the main trails. Anyone wanna point me in the right direction? I'm willing to explore but some hints would be nice. Nice shots!

ooctrl, let's get out there for a ride sometime. We'll show you around the place.

Randy, did anyone hit the big teeter?

Severum, I'm down, but the ride is down and out right now. Should be up and running by the middle of the week as I am waiting on some hardware.

tony, that trail isn't in the fomba trails, but it's nearby. Just a very short ride away. If you don't know EXACTLY where it is, you'd never find it. It definitely requires someone to show you. PM me or Severum and we can show it to you sometime. I ride fomba at least once a week.

what kind of bike would one ride at fomba if he/she had the choice between 26er SS, 5inch Titus Motolite or a fatty 40lb 7 inch Versus Blitz?

If your riding the pure Fomba trails, then option A or B. If your getting to Hanger Banger/Evil Fomba/whatever one calls it with the teeters, then I would say option B. A or C if you like to torture yourself.

Jwind, Motolite all day. There's a few hits out there, but it's mostly twisty singletrack.

Getting a hard-on for the 'bike with drop bars' eh? I'd love to see you bring that up to Fomba for a spin!

Wouldn't the picture 2nd from the top be the "big teeter" Or is there a bigger teeter?

Yeah, that one is prolly the biggest, but the bottom one with the pair I think is higher and more dangerous. I guess I was not clear.

I think that the new one in pic #2 would be easier than that first one.

That's my kind of XC. Guess I'll have to drop some PMs next time I ride up there, definitely never found that stuff before. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I have a love-hate relationship with that place. Some of the trails are fantastic, with great flow and interesting features. Others (and I wish I remembered which ones so I could skip them) are kinkmasters with no redeeming features IMO.

The trails in these photos look very cool. Hopefully they are not sensitive and posting pics of them will not screw anything up. The power of the internet is not always good.

Kinkmaster.... Hmm, I don't think I've ever heard that word describe a trail before!

Those trails are getting better as they get ridden more and more. We originally thought it was a sensitive issue, but Locotiki and I ran into the guy that built it recenlty and he told us to get the word out so more people would ride it. Some sections of the trail certainly need it, but overall it's a long trail with a ton of riding 'features' as you can see from the pics in this thread.

+1 for FOMBA HATER. It's love hate, some really cool trails, some lack luster, too many turns, no flow..

The trail in this thread is Hot and Cold as well. Supersoft, hard to maintain a flow, doubles back constantly, but then has all these super cool trail features. I leave there never wanting to ride there again, but go back, cause it's fun. The guy building this trail is Boss. He's out there all the time, he does amazing bridge work, and totally positive about riding the trail. I've never seen him ride, he's all about the build it, and they will ride it.
