Thanks for doing the organizing/cussing/discussing on this General.
Progress was made on a lot of fronts, very nice. The big oak tangle we cleared just about made me cry. It was a beautiful tree as I recall. Anyway...Thanks to everyone who came over and helped out. You all rock.
Pokey's BBQ was a great way to finish off the weekend!

Awesome work all y'all!!! 369 hours of time commited to keeping our trails in award winning shape is nothing more than a worthy commitment. The CCP, MBO, RideFest and everyother weekend epic are sure to be the best rides of the summer.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, we've got the best backyard.
Al,
Great riding with you Saturday night. I can't wait to purchase a good helmet mount lamp so I have a little more confedence out there on the trail. That was a blast! Thanks for the shuttle General.
This was my first trail work experience, and I just have to say all ya'll are great people. Through all of the hard labor I never heard anyone complain.
Thanks to The THC for providing some great grub and a meeting spot for all of us.
I think Scar says it best, "DOD members - Your commitment to the sport and your community is unbelievable. Keep up the great work! "
You DOD'ers have more passion for the sport of mountain biking than I have seen. thanks for your efforts you inspire me.

Lots of energy and enthusiasm out there for putting in our time and clearing our beloved trails. I'm sore as hell right now, but it was well worth it.
Thanks for organizing this, General. Thanks for my latecomers welcome and feeding, Pokey.

Sadly I was denied the last time I asked to join. It's been that way ever since.
The Disciples of Dirt isn't a group you can join or quit. The DOD is something you either are or aren't. Don't confuse being kicked off the yahoo group for being denied membership to the DOD. From my understanding, you're basically denied the ability to being able to post on the DOD yahoo group (do you want the reasons?). Nobody said that you couldn't join the DOD for trailwork or rides, did they?
When an invitation/notification of a trailwork day/event/ride is posted on a public forum it should be pretty clear/understood that the public is welcome.
Pardon the heavy dose of sarcasm on this one:
You have a history of being pretty negative and not all that helpful to folks on the Oregon board. Although I have seen you on two occasions suggest you were in the wrong or mistaken, nice. You have in my short time here said you would like to ride with folks that have posted pictures/ride reports here yet have yet to do so. You have said you would like to do trailwork with us yet have not.
Since ride options and trailwork options have been posted on a public forum and you have not taken advantage of the riding opportunities or stepped up to do your duty and perform trail maintenance...(this is the sarcastic part by the way)...who is at fault? Me? Caz? SantaMouse? No...you are to blame. It does not make you a bad person (there may or may not be other things that would make you a bad person). It just means you are to blame for your own actions (or lack thereof as it were).
I tend to think the best of folks unless and until they prove otherwise. I'm well past tired of folks (you and many, many, many....others) whining about not doing things they could have done. If you are trolling...fish on dewd. If you are lost and just complaining out loud and want others to hear, fine. If you want to do your part and help out...I believe General Coonskins gave you another date to put on your calendar. I'll be there.
If you come find me I'll buy you a cup of coffee. The trailhead cafe does a pretty OK job of brewing coffee in my opinion. I love it when folks enjoy themselves and help out with trailwork. You will probably be surprised at how much you enjoy yourself.
Some little girl is going to sleep a little easier tonight knowing Imaklyde (and others) took out a death trap, even at the expense of 2 terrahoes. It's a bit difficult to see but it's bent on the left corner. The second hoe actually ripped on both corners.
Sorry for the crummy quality, I didn't realize that I had the setting wrong. And for some other stupid reason I never bothered to actually take a regular picture, sorry.
I hear, from a few of you big city folk, I am a bit of a redneck. I can take it. I do hate nascar and all forms of auto racing which involves nothing but straightaways and all left or right turns. Formula-1 now...very nice.
Anywho, I think anytime you get 6'3", 255lbs and heavily tattooed into overalls while carrying a chainsaw it's going to look a bit hick-ish. Sexy hick, but hick none the less. I wish I had the photo of me "hucking" off the back road grade while in overalls on my work confuser...very good composition and lighting.
Why doesn't this suprise me? Any other TV programs you love and want to share? After all this is a mtb forum; tell us more about your love for TV..........

Cas - what's up? Are you not going to pick on the other guys that mentioned NASCAR? Why do you feel the need to pick on me? I'm not mad at you nor did I try to start a fight. I was just trying to have a decent conversation. I apologize if my comment was off topic.
I choose Kona0197 for 2 reasons. One reason is because one of the best bikes I ever owned was a '96 Kona Lavadome. The other reason is my old cell phone number ended in 0197.
