Shock : 08 Fox RP23

Rider : 6' 3" and 220 lbs ( without gear )

Frame : XL Endorphin

psi main : 200 average ( range from 190 to about 210 )

Don' t feel the need to use the propedal much !

Would like to send it to PUSH Ind. for a personal tune and rebuild this winter...........however , very pleased with the setup for tech xc use ! Even though I use it as a light playbike too..........I can't resist ( Ooh man , I dig this bike ) ! TIG.

I have to edit mine profile slightly.

Coming from a Titus MotoLite, the Endorphin felt too plush so I started off using propedal. After I got used to the bike, I went for a long time leaving the propedal off. Then I started riding with a pretty fast group where any advantaged on the climbs was welcome. Now I climb anything smooth in level I mode. A little propedal really helps control bob and keeps me a little higher in the travel, which steepens the geometry slightly.

shock: 2008 Fox DHXC
rider weight: ~200lbs geared up
frame size: Med
psi main:n/a
psi boost: 150psi
coil lbs: 450

Started with a 400lb spring but found it a tad soft causing the bike to ride low in it's travel and feel a bit sluggish. Switched to 450 and it feels great. I don't use any propedal even on long fireroad climbs and get very little movement. The shock will either be going to push this winter to remove all the platform or it will be replaced by a ccdb...most of our climbs are very technical and I would rather gain the smoothness and more active feel by eliminating the platform entirely.

Propedal 1 for most trail riding, and off for downhill runs!

One thing that's strange is the low air pressure I am running. Actually I'm only getting 14mm of sag with this air pressure. But so far it looks good, no bob in propedal 1 and minimal bob in the off position.

Small bump compliance is actually good, rebound is 3 clicks in from full open.

Shock: 2008 Marzocchi Roco TST Air
Rider weight: 165 lbs
Frame size: S
PSI main: 95
PSI boost: 170
Coil lbs: n/a
Settings/comments: TST off unless climbing. I've also had the compression damping opened up a little as I find the Roco TST shocks a little spiky.

an update....

Frame: Endorphin
Size: Medium
Rider: 220 lbs

Shock: Cane Creek Double Barrel

psi main: n/a
psi boost: n/a
coil lbs: 450
preload: 2 turns
compression: high speed - 0.75 turn, low speed - 8 clinks
rebound: high speed - 0.75 turn, low speed - 10 clicks

settings/comments: All clicks/turns from full out. Best shock I've used so far. Really like the oil flow at speeds and the ability to adjust low and high speed tuning. Only two rides so still tuning!

Fork: 2009 Fox 36 Talas RC2

psi main: 72
coil lbs: n/a
compression: hsc - 2 clicks, lsc - 2 clinks
rebound: 5 clicks (i forgot so all update this later)

settings/comments: All clicks from full out. Use 160 travel for most riding.

It's funny...

that this thread popped up this morning. I was just telling Dude! that I had turned the best shock into the worst shock by screwing up the settings for "jumping". I had tried to set my CCDB up with a lot less HSC and a lot more LSC and it turned it into a shock that doesn't even compare to any top of the line shock out there. I, quickly, changed them back to the proper settings.

Med. DT
180 lbs. w/ gear
CCDB - Ti 350lb Spring
35% Sag
LSC 14 clicks
HSC 4 - 1/4 Turns
LSR 14 clicks
HSR 2 - 1/4 Turns

Update after 2 years on the Endorphin.
Marz ROCO TST coil
Rider 139#
spring: 300# Ti
boost pressure 200 PSI
Shock modification:
removed 2 largest compression and rebound shims from main piston stack.
Removed TST valve plate (washer, not a shim) and replaced with 2 large shims previously removed from main piston assembly. This mod loses the 90% of TST function at full lockout, but man is it smooooth. I was expecting the mod to only remove high speed spiking, but it has a dramatic effect at low speeds as well (climbing square edged chunk).
The stock TST works well as advertised, but I have no use for TST in Austin anyway. A good compromise for my application.
