That's so funny! I used to get caught in that "compromising position" all the time. I've finally gotten in the habit of just tucking all my fingers in if I know someone is taking my picture.

Nice, as always. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I saw that pink Titus as I was leaving the Koko parking lot. Didn't see you, but I was on the sitter clock, so if I notice anything it has to be bright and shiny (ie. Pink Titus)

Dang! I rode Andy's and The Ribbon on Saturday -- wished I'd known you were in town. Great pics, as always, A.

As confirmed by Saturday's slog, Andy's is so much more fun the direction they are going versus the way we went.
Great pics, if only they were real. It doesn't really look like that around here. Those pics are all airbrushed.

crd, is your daughter (Sportsgirl, right?) in any of the pics this time? I remember her from Sportsman's b-day trip. But I can't tell who's who in your shots.
Looks like it might have been a little cooler out there this trip, eh?

yes, except now she has a new nickname, big drop air b/c she loves descending rock ledges. She is truly amazing, and although she says she doesn't like climbing, she does a fine job at it. Just feed her some chocolate now and again, and she smiles.
She is in most of the pix; dark brown hair, pink, yeti
yes, it was cooler on sunday, but still nothing to complain about...

Dear Ribbon,
I met you and rode you. I will never forget you. I enjoyed every aspect of you as I lay my rubber down on your rough skin. You left me with a hole in my heart and I WILL stalk you once again.

The Ribbon (from description found online)
Preview: This is one of the best advanced rides in the area. The scenery is spectacular and the trail winds through some of the more bizarre landscape you will see here. The uphill section on the main ribbon is mind-boggling. The view on top of The Ribbon is fantastic and offers panoramic views of the Book Cliffs, Colorado National Monument, and Grand Mesa.
Also found another thread that might be helpful (Can I link The Ribbon, Eagle's Wing, and Holy Cross):
http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=340236
We shuttled up to the trailhead via D Road.

Fruita rocks!
Unable to miss the trip to Fruita we finally rode 18 road again!
The last few times we've come by this way the weather hadn't been cooperative and the rains prevented us from heading to this area.
We were able to hook up with Screampint who showed us how its done on her rigid SS!

Fruita.....
what a great place to ride, last year I rode the Kokopeli trails and the Ribbon, this year it was the Kokopeli and 18 road.
I can't imagine the Moab can be much better.
I have got to get out there more than once a year, it is only a 4 hour drive.

You are more than welcome!
I'm getting the ss ready this morning. Have to put in some miles before I go do this. I got my old team mate roped into it for a duo.

24 hours of Old Tucson,
We will be there again this year, not as racers though. Brother in law is racing and we were support last year. We enjoyed the area enough to come back and this year we're taking a month to camp and ride around there.

Heehee! Now that was funny!
I'm pretty sure that shot wasn't posed, and that Joel is quite capable of cleaning that line

Not a pose. Obviously you have never been here. He cleaned it. If his bashguard clears it, he clears it.
BTW, more good memories of Ant and his adventures encapsulated here. Always good to see his work bubble up.

funny, bunches of us rode the Ribbon last weekend; the last time I rode it was with Anthony, Chris, and Paula. Reminders that good times can still be had...
