That ain't working, Day 2

The Junket continues.

Ater yesterday's lovely ride at Meadow Mountain in Minturn, the Yeti rig cruised westward. We stopped in Fruita for a thorough session of eating and beer buying.

Then we ducked behind the Zion curtain and drove to Panguitch.

After sleeping the sleep of the just, and having breakfast with the locals at the breakfast counter. We headed over to Red Canyon for some Thunder Mountain:

It was a cloudy, threatening sort of day, which didn't make for the best photos, but it did make for pretty much perfect riding conditions. Here's what she looks like under the sun:

As soon as we got changed back into civvies and situated in the truck with a refreshing post ride beverage, the skies finally opened up and it rained like the dickens. We celbrated by dragging the rig through Zion. It is always cool to see the desert in a rainstorm.

Then it was on into Vegas, baby!

Tell Joe you are making him famous.

Yes, yes. You've got a fun job, riding cool bikes, visiting beautiful trails...

We know. We know.

I don't know, I sometimes think the clouds add some neat lighting and provide unique atmospherics.

Taken with the new camera?

no, last saturday's storm wasn't cold enough. At least not until the cold front pushed through and then it was too late. Lots of rain in sw utah though.
