Thylacine Cycles signs 24 Hour Singlespeed World Champion
For Immediate Release
Melbourne, Australia February 27, 2007
Thylacine Cycles is well pleased to announce that Rich Dillen will be racing on a custom Thylacine Cycles Arete SL 29er for the 2007 season. Rich will compete in his usual frankly ridiculous amount of enduros, 100 Milers, and anything else that tickles his fancy this year, such as the BC Bike Race and La Ruta.
Rich has a mighty impressive list of results in 2006, including taking out 3rd overall Singlespeed in the National Ultra Endurance Series, 1st Singlespeed at the Cohutta 100, as well as 1st in the fixed gear class at the Shenandoah 100. His winning of the 24hr Singlespeed World Championships is just icing on the cake.
Rich also constantly proves that the pen is mightier than the crank, putting great work down online in his very entertaining blog about his exploits on and off the bike - http://teamdicky.blog.com. If you don't check it out, clearly, you're a Muppet.
And now as it obligatory with these 'press release' things, here's a word from the man himself . The full excerpt can be found in his blog -
"What is it about Warwick [Thylacine Cycles] that swayed my decision? He is opinionated, honest, a direct communicator, a good listener (VIA AIM).... In the time that we were discussing my future frame I saw CAD drawings popping into my in-box pretty often. A tweak here, an adjustment there... I always felt like I was part of the loop. I'd read how he feels about 29'ers on his site, but I felt confident that he could build a bike that I would WANT to ride...After a few drafts I think he nailed me right on the head. This bike will be all business, death, and rock-and-roll. Just what I like."
About Thylacine Cycles:
Thylacine Cycles is a rag-tag bunch of bike pirates from the wilds of Melbourne, Australia. We like good bikes, good beer, and running with scissors. Started in 2002 as respite from all the matte black Aluminium frames fresh off the boat, Thylacine Cycles is committed to the art of fun, quality designed, wicked handing, hand made custom bike frames. Go on. You know you want to.

wow cool news.
So Teamdicky - when does the 6million dollar Zion frame go on the market ?? I mean once you get your Thylacine frame and all you'll have no use for it right?

Offer him a half eaten Twinkie, 4 cans of Guinness and piece of chewing gum I just found under my seat for it, see what he reckons.
