That is a clean bean!

Congrats!

It better be seeing more than just "downtown" work. I want to see some dirt on that pup!

So let me get this straight....you built a $6000.00 mountainbike with Reynolds carbon clincher road rims to ride around town? Okay?

I knew it was coming.

I don't want to hear that he did that. Not because of the money, just the principle.

It would make me want to steal it on principle.

If he's got that much to spend, it would not be out of the question to have two wheel sets.

Or so I would hope. Please let this be the case?

sort of reminds me of the porsche cayenne. I mean really, a porsche suv? what marketing genius came up with that sickening ... ok I'll stop here.

I thought this through about the Cayenne. It was the only way to get a family to get two Porsche's in the garage.............Two door P and a 5 door P................

But hang that top of the line P Cayenne goes like a shower of SH!T, was a real buzz to be in one....................But wouldnt want to do the Paris to D in one...

Back on topic, that is a sweet looking ride.............

I have a mate in Wellington who has a mate in Auckland who traded his GT3 in on a Cayenne. My mate said its scary fast especially when traction control is switched of and its 4 wheel drifting through the city.

BOT..... nice Moots.

Juicy Detials

700x38 Aramdillos slicks were first on the bike when I built it up last weekend due to limited trial selections that were soaking wet in Houston. This morning I have installed my MTB tires, but again, 2 hours of thunder storms have plagued Houston ! I do not have two wheelsets, the reynolds carbon clincher wheelset is for xc. Once I get some riding time one them I will report back on the carbon quality ride!!! Crap, my old lady is calling me to breakfast, I'll post later tonight with more pics and juicy build details.

That doesn't look like a regular Mooto X YBB. Looks more like a Cross YBB. Or is it full custom, with cross like geometry and clearance for true 29er tires.

Do tell...

PS: that's a swank bike, but as soupboy noted, you have points deducted for the post.

No doubt that Geared MTB isn't needed in Houston, but I do participate in various downtown / midtown rides which demand some up/down shifting when the riders are going ballz to the wallz pace. When the raining season finally ends, i'll be running SS style. Once again various parts of the city received a couple of inches of rain today leaving the climate a lovely 90 degrees with 85% humidity . Looks like i'll have to play a game of Motorboat this afternoon instead of riding. (.)(.)

Is that only a 44 tooth chainring for city duty?

Why a suspension fork for a city bike?

I... ummm... well... where to start... uhhhh....

I always knew Moots had some of the finest areolas, er, I mean, nip... umm welds. Yeah, that's what I meant. Nice welds, nice tubes and boy, the bike really looks complete with those knobbys. Ignitors. I gotta go clean up... my mind!

Fun stuff everyone. Life's too short not to enjoy posts like this.
