Peaks trail has never looked so good before, of course I've never seen nice legs like that on Peaks trail before.
Thanks for the reminder that the higher stuff is rideable, some times I get stuck in a front range rut.

Nice pictures! I hope you don't mind if I add one myself.
In case some people don't know this fun fact, that creek along side the trail flows UPHILL in certain sections! (pic #3)
I love that trail, but haven't ridden it in 2 years. I think that needs to be addressed!

and yes, the return trip and climbing back to Breck sucked on my big bike. That said I'd do it all again!

Nice; that is on my list for this weekend.

Doing the Peaks/Miners/Wheeler loop accross the Ten Peaks is a rocking cool ride, but I'm betting much of the upper stuff is still too wet/snowy to do yet.

Nice! That brings back memories...that trail runs about 100 yards from the back door of the house I used to live in on Peak 7... Good times for sure!

Great shots. That was a regular ride for me during the 4 years I lived in Frisco. Rode it for the first time in 1987 and it was really bad at the Breck end. Nothing but mud pits and slick tree roots. Corduroy went in around 1989, making it a drier ride. Haven't been on it in 8 or 9 years, but your pics remind me of what i'm missing. Thanks

Just did it - it's great but the skeeters are killah on the climb back up. And yes, we got so much snow this year that the run off is keeping the upper trails very wet. Have fun this weekend!

Awesome pics, been a few years, forgot how nice that trail is...

I am headed up to stay in Breck w/ the family to get away from the heat down here in the Front Range and was looking to do the Peaks and hook up with the Colorado Trail and climb up to the top of Ten Mile Range (although I understand it may be too early w/ all the snow).

I see on my Gazatteer thingy that there is a trail (maybe a few?) that head back into Breck from the top - around peak 8, 'Pack' trail maybe? Is this the Peaks/Miners/Wheeler loop mentioned in earlier post? Is there a ride doable in a couple/few hours that climbs up the Colorado Trail but then shoots back down the east side of Ten Mile back into Breck? ...is this weekend just way to early to do something like this (at least this year)?

Nice shots of a great trail.

Try parking at the free bus lot in Fraser, take it to Breck then ride up to the trail head. Then.....do it again. Makes for a great day of riding and at the break, and nice time for a snack at many of the eateries in town.
