Great shots Sas! Looks similar to my ride on the east side of Hood, but only better. Gotta love Alpine!
The colors up there are starting to pop...

All I got to say is that I'm frick'n glad that I ride with you because it would suck to have to look at these photos and know that I missed a great ride! I've said it before and I'll say it again, "This is our backyard".

Yeah, when I first saw the sweet sun beams, I pulled over, and scouted out a place to take a good shot of the riders coming thru. Then I sat there and waited for like five minutes, as the fog began to blow away, lessening the effect. The first pic was after it faded significantly, and by the time the riders came thru, it barely showed up on the camera. It was too bad I didnt snap a few shots as soon as I pulled over, when the shafts of illuminated fog cut thru the trees like lasers.

Sweeeet!!

If there were any doubts that Oakridge has the best singletrack any where, these photos lay them all to rest.

Nice pics of the perfect trail.

Hey Shiggy, it's time to mow your lawn, and rake up the leaves. I'll expect you to take care of it by this weekend.

This looks so amazing. This is in Oregon? I want to plan a trip up north (from California) where is this exactly! Unless I have come upon some sort of secret spot situation.

thanks

Lurking on the coast

No plans for Barbie Camp but thanks. I'm hoping to be in shape for the next ACM at Whypass. Getting plenty of fun in the mud over here on the coast. I'd love to come over and do a ACM in Oakridge with you guys in the spring.

Again thanks for the awesome pics, they're inspirering.

Happy Trails
Terry

No secret, it's the Alpine trail in oakridge oregon, home of the Cascade Creampuff 100 mile MTB race.

and ~20 of the 500+ miles of trail we have in the area. MTB Oregon happens in August with guides, shuttles and general fun. Or just come up and ride. Most of the trails are open May-early November.

SSconny-

I'm still waiting to see you start posting some photos. I expected you to take your photo skills out into the woods, instead of wasting them on getting paid.

Careful of tempting too many californians to your state! I hear it is getting out of control. One of the reasons I plan to visit is all the friends of mine who have moved to Portland.
Those photos are so beautiful, thanks for the details. I will look into that race too.

Come on up! As many Californicators can move here as they want. Just need to bring jobs with them.

I did a trip to Oregon last year. Head up the coast and do Prairie Crk Redwood state park in Cali, work your way over to the Umpqua, head off to Oakridge, zip over to Bend and finish in Mt. Hood. Oh Lordy!!! Dog River and Surveyors ridge.(drooool) and Alpine*sigh* I get all sentimental and wistful just thinking about it. I have some of my pic's posted under "I like posting photo's" but these photo's here are STUNNING!! Thank you for posting them!
