Process 111 replacement or something more?

Read a bunch of posts about the 111 being discontinued....any idea(s) what kona will do with their 29er short travel bikes?

Maybe a 134 process 29? Kind of bummed because the 153 29er is probably too much bike for 60% of my riding. I need a mid travel trail bike vs. a plow bike. Lots of non Kona options out there for sure.

GL

Edit - So I sent Kona an email about how much I like the 111,but needing something a little more, specifically something like a 134 29er but not a full on enduro rig like the 153.....response was:

"Thank you for contacting Kona! We may have one coming in the spring???!!!"

So who knows what is coming, mid March is not that far away.

Nothing in rumourville...

I agree, I rode the 153, very capable, but just too much bike for everyday trail riding.

I think the new 2018 transition smuggler in many ways looks like what the next generation Process 111 could be, 120r/140f, longer bike, enough to differentiate itself from the hei hei while retaining the plush balanced fun that makes the Process 111 so awesome.

Hopefully Kona comes out with something in like vein.

A carbon "process 123" 29er would have been a license to print money, and a marketing departments wet dream.......
