Nope, valve caps are strictly forbidden in photos as well, and valve stems should be positioned against the ground. Front tire is not aligned with the valve stem either

I should stop now... I know that it was posted exactly the way it will be ridden, and it I know it will be put to good use.

Thank you! I've had those wheels for a whopping 2 days now. I bought them second-hand from a guy in California and had them shipped out, ended up paying a little less than half of retail. I didn't realize when I bought them that the rear hub had the DT Swiss RWS 10mm thru-bolt, I think that adds some stiffness in the rear. I've only had one ride on the wheels (3hrs of tight technical singletrack) but so far they are everything that i9's are hyped up to be - light, stiff with crazy engagement. I didn't think the engagement would be as noticeable but it really is, helps a lot in tight spots on a climb. I'm running tubes in the tires right now but as soon as I brew myself some sealant I'll switch to tubeless, rims are tubeless-ready. Once I have a decent number of miles on the wheels I'll write up a worthy review!

Thanks TDot, your ride is pretty sweet to. I love the Pike, did the PUSH mod make a big difference on it? I am keeping my PIKE and other wheels for Blue Mountain Park rides.

Joplin is great, really like the variable seat adjust on it. I keep the post cleaned after every ride, so far no issues. There is come play on the seat but not alot, but CB does say that there will be some play. Wheels so far are outstanding, much lighter then my 5.1D with Hadleys. I do need to work them in more as I just got them about a month ago, once they work in they should spin even better.

Winter is coming, hopefully snow stays up at the snow belt so the Don Trails stay clear .

I just bought the Pike to replace the stock Fox F120RL on my bike, and it had already been to Push for the factory fork kit install & rebuild so I can't really comment on before/after performance. As expected it feels a lot beefier than the Fox I had, mostly because of the 20mm axle. I read a few reviews on the Push factory kit for the Pike and it's received tons of praise. One thing I love is that with the Push bits the rebound auto-adjusts to the terrain, I'm very impressed with it so far.

If I had ordered the wheels from i9 myself I would've chosen something more light-weight than the 5.1Ds but I'll just run these until they fail and then lace them up to something lighter....next year I'll see if there's room in my bike budget for an adjustable seatpost like the Joplin/Gravity Dropper, I think it would be super nice...

Cool I talked to a guy named John S. from there about a set that looked just like those. He seemed like an alright guy and it was a pretty good deal if I remember.

Wow small world, the guy I bought these off was a John S., he had them on Craigslist in Orange County. He was great, let me pay via PayPal and shipped them that afternoon. I wasn't sure about buying a wheelset used but it's the only way I could afford a set like this...

You might want to place your order soon, apparently I9 is really slow in getting their wheelsets shipped out. Some guy here waited 5 months for his...

What's also nice about the I9's is that their hubs can take a variety of axles (both front and rear) with adapter kits

The last set I ordered for a customer were blue/blue/white DH wheels and they took eight weeks. But between the cdn distributor's stock, I9's stock, and what I have in stock, you should be able to find something close to your preference in stock.

This statement is a lie

Paradox

Not much for building up bikes with all new cherry parts. More a proponent of the "throw together and ride" philosophy.

Frame Banshee Paradox Size L
Fork Rock Shox Reba 29 Maxle Lite 120mm
Headset OLD King purple
Stem Bontrager race x lite alum. 105mm
Bar C7 carbon riser
Grips ODI Rogue
Post Praxys 30.9 (comes with the frame! who does that?)
Seat old cheap beat up Ithys
Brakes Avid Elixir R 160mm F and R
Shifter Dura-ace barcon on Pauls Thumbie RH only
R Der Suntour Superbe Pro
Cassette road 6 spd hack 25-23-21-19-17-12 (yeah it shifts....in friction anyway)
Crank XT M760 (going on year 6), 760 32t ring
MRP 1.X Guide
Chain Sram 991
Hubs Hadley SS R, Hadley 20mm F
Rims R Stans 355 tubeless, F Mavic A719 tubed
Spokes Wheelsmith double butted black
Tires Bontrager Jones XR 2.2 R 2.25 F
Pedals Shimano 520

For Garage Monster, actual inside width of chainstay yoke is 3". Not roomy but sufficient (for my 2.2).

Built as is this is a pretty ridiculous all rounder. Bike was appealing to me because of the aggressively short (for a niner) 17" chainstay. I was hoping it would make the bike very easy to hop and wheelie, which it does very well. Fork is crazy stiff at virtually no weight penalty over QR. Frame is 5 lbs even. Seems pretty supple for a 5 pound aluminum frame, even with relatively high tire pressure. Will probably race it XC next year, should be able to take a pound or two off without much trouble.

Sweet bike VY, interested in why you chose to go with the friction shifter & your der/cassette combo? What's the HA on that bike? I didn't even know RS made the Reba 29er with 120mm of travel and the maxle-lite...that'll certainly be my fork of choice if I get tired (literally) of rigid...

I am used to riding/racing SS, so any drivetrain bits are an afterthought, and I had already spent much of the season on a tight block cassette (5/6 are all that will fit on the SS hub, which builds a stiffer, zero-dish wheel allowing me to dole out major abuse to my superlight rim) My reasoning went like this:

Want to put on short cage der > only short cage I could find in parts collection is Suntour > will not index properly w/shimano gears > switch thumbie to friction

And the fork is awesome, would definitely recommend to anybody. Not sure how it compares to 15mm in terms of stiffness, but it is pretty damn stiff.

Head angle is claimed at 69, but I do not have the inclination (pun intended) to measure it myself. Seems steeper though.

How is the Hadley SS hub Andrew? I hear the engagement is awesome. Dishless FTW!

(Do they come in silver by any chance? I thought it was only black but I thought you'd know better)
