Nice rides everyone. Rich, the Specialized red is hot. Capun_Canuck how do you like your Dawg?

I'm picking up a digicam this weekend so I'll post pics of the nine bikes we've got in our apartment (soon to be ten with the addition of a beater-fixed gear).

Yeah its the international edition. Does international edition mean its not avaliable in the US? or does it just have slightly different parts?

upgraded parts all around.

For example, the US/CDN version of the pro has an LX rear derailer, mine INTL version has an XT. It just seems to be one level up on each one. Your bike is probably the exact same as a US/CDN Pro version would be.

I think the Comp Disc only comes as an International version.

Sorry, mines an 04, so its hydraulic. For 2004 there was only an International version of the Comp Disc, at least thats what i gathered from the specialized website.

My turn! My Turn!

Great thread whoever started this. So much fun to see everyone else's rides. Here are mine:

Trek 5200 OCLV - It was my winter project. Bought the frame and built it up exactly how I wanted it. Super fast, super fun!

Cannondale Prophet - as seen on pinkbike.com. Set up in 4x mode right now, but it'll be my XC ride for me this year.

Jamis XLT 2.0

Giant OCR2 - Last year's rode bike and now my indoor I-Magic Training rig. Put lots of KMs on this bad boy last year but decided I wanted to go all out for 2005 with the carbon Trek. An amazing bike though. I think someone else here mentioned they were getting one, you won't be disappointed.

There's also the old Raleigh winter beater and my unicycle, but they're both buried in the shed right now My wife says I have too many bikes. You think? Nahhhh.

Well you see my ht use to be a second bike that I would ride everywhere but now I have a third bike... I can't help it if I got a good price for the fork when I was building my ht back up again after I took all of my components off it to build my sugar...It's life...

Both our HT's...aka grocery getters...Were built with the components off our Sugar's as we upgraded the Sugar's...This way we had half-decent HT's to use as back-ups for the Sugar's...

The thing to remember is that most of the stuff on those two bikes are 3-4 years old...The only new stuff is brake pads, chains, cassettes and chainrings...

That's the nice thing about having two bikes...you can always re-use parts or at worst steal parts from one bike to another...

thnx dude... it's the xp pro with 5th air... picked it up at supergo when they had it on sale for $329
I hear ya though... I haven't seen one 'round here either..should be pretty stanky when built up.. it's her first fully, and @ the price we got it for....just couldn't say NO.
the quality of welds and detail (ie. paint) is pretty impressive, especially @ that price point...
I'll be putting some hrs into is this weekend..should have it built up next week

well I'm biting the bullet time to get on a better SS frame than my home built aluminium CCM I built it begining of last season, just to feel out the whole SS riding experience...love it, so I figured might as well get my arse on somfin SS specific....
here's a shot of what will replace the good 'ol CT CCM

OK I'll play, this is not a good photo it was taken in a great hurry with a really really crap HP camera. I have upgrade-itis going on I keep wanting to get new parts, bought it mainly for the frame anyway.

And revrnd that link comes up "forbidden".

TT - Wow. HT with a rigid fork.... and a disc tab. Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to make fun or be sarcastic or anything like that. I just never thought of the combination. Strange, yet very cool. Nice piece!

Damn there's some nice rides "up here".

What year is that Epic frame? It is missing the seatube support triangle piece. I thought only the women's fram 2003 was missing that little extra piece.

Am I wrong?

I sure hope you're wrong or I'd be rather pissed at my bike store... anyway it's an '03 which only seemed to have the seat tube support on the large frames. And the Pro/Marathon models, plus the womens only seemed to come in some horrible canberry color.

Yeah... You are right. I think maybe only the Mediums and larger had the seat tube support.

revrnd - you're a man after my own liking. A simple, no-nonsense, "this will do just fine, thanks" FS bike that's not too hard on the wallet and still good enough to have loads of fun. Very nice.

TT - oh, single speed. That should make for a very nice ripper for riding.

Thanks Andrew When I bought it I figured I'd just be riding w/ my nephew. Turns out I've really gotten into the riding. Maybe down the road if I need a new bike I'll splurge on myself. If I had dropped some coin like the guys @ work figured, I probably would've hated it & would be trying to unload it.

The Planet X is going to be a fun bike, when i'm done building it. (i'm still buying parts... i'm a Bottom Bracket and Handlebar away from completion.

I doubt you'll ever see us at a race, but here are our rides.

The bikes weigh in at about 26 lbs, as you see them. Mine is just under and my wifes is just over 26 lbs. She didn't like the Terry Liberator TI Race seat and insisted that I put the old seat back on. It's more comfortable, but heavier.

If we were to strip off the un-race-like accessories - bells, taillights, bicycle computers, fenders, and bouncy seatposts, we could bring the weight down closer to 24 lbs. However, we are pretty happy with the bikes the way they are.

Here's a quick cheesy pic of my neighborhood cruiser, got it after I trashed my Huffy from Walmart real baaaaad... Hopefully I can take it to the trail this long weekend!

Here's mine. Unnamed, but I bought the Stumpy with every last cent I had when I was 16, and she/he (bikes don't have a gender, do they?) has moved with me from Regina to Calgary to Quebec City to Waterloo...

Looking not too bad after 2 years of Sask Sunlight Cup racing, two years of 15k/day commuting and a lot of riding. I'm never getting rid of this bike ever, but I might get something dual-suspension with next year's tax refund...

Here's mine. It has a Rohloff Speedhub on it now. It's a 2004.

You need a 6" fork on that bike - with a 5", I had to change the rear travel to make the bike "balanced". It rides perfect with a 6" and the Rohloff.

Alright, this thread is getting waaaay too far down the line.

The last time you'll see these forks, brakes and wheels on the bike. Next up is the Minute 1:00, Avid mechs and Mavic/XT wheels. With a little luck they'll all be on this weekend.... I hope.

nice bike...cromolly frame, mostly factory, but as she likes to sit a little more upright, it has a new stem, XC bars witth yeti grips... i had to add the extensions to get her weight over the front wheel to help on the climbs...nice find at an elmvale auction (it was brand new)

Vector Mechanics with Prof. Negi is always fun. At least when I was there.

Here's my new ride, I'm still doing shakedown rides on the setup. And I'm waiting for some Hope Mono4's.

Here's my Intense 5.5 trail bike. A custom build by Owen and Terry at Trail Blazer Cycles. 400km's strong and loving it. They're currently finishing up an Uzzi for the bigger stuff and some light DH duties.

The second shot is of my new bike security system. You can't be too safe in Toronto, the bike theft capital of Canada.

Nice upgrade there... bet you're loving the ride. Definite upgrade from the rainier. Just swap the wheels and youll have a pimp ride.

I left my camera at home so no pics of my new SL yet.
