We managed to get 3rd place in the Single/Rigid class. Fun, fun, fun. Other notables: Team One Gear More Beer got 3rd in Duo/Pro class, and they were (as the name implies) SS. Congrats to Erin (rockdogger) and Mike!
The two SS teams ahead of us did an incredible job. Congrats to Team X and Princeton Sports.
Big props to the Team Mom and Team Dad crews for the support and campfire company.

It was sloppy, muddy, ugly, hard. Because it is so sloppy after the rain, Laird Knight announced that he is moving the venue to somewhere else next year, i.e., this year's 24 hours of Snowshoe is the last one.

I was coming off a tenacious cold and was looking for a replacement on Friday. Since I couldn't find one, I drove up and stuck it out. Only on the last lap did I feel good enough to say I had fun.
Anyways, here's a pic of Riderx pulling off one of our faster laps (on the prologue), in a skirt.

Thanks! I ran a 32x18 on my 29er (which was a bit tough for me). Not sure about the other guys... (methinks riderx did 2:1) |

Ha, no. I stuck with 34x17 and kept it singlespeed. 2:1 seemed like a good ratio, but in hindsight I would have made it a tooth or two easier. There was peanut butter mud in between and over everything, which made the technical stuff that much harder and an easier gear wouldn't have taken so much energy to pedal through it.
So when/where are people going to post pics? Superstar Stoner - get on that...ha.

Just a few...
Here's a brief contribution to the pics from the lens of One Gear, More Beer's pit wrench.
These guys kept me busy with gearing and tire changes till the mud started drying up and becoming less of an issue. By midnight I just washed and lubed for the most part.
Erin and Mike, you guys rocked the course against those gearies!!! Way to go!
Pleny of noteable shenanigans came out of the other local SS teams, like the pic below of JoeP (hope this is right) in a dress on his KM during a Sunday moring lap.
Congrats everyone on their races and for keeping it SS!

From the pic of Joe P. that looks like the Power Line downhill. Did most people take the grassy left option? The right was definitely fun, but I'm wondering if the left might have been faster.

Nice job to all you single speeders. I was down in W.V riding the sweet singletrack at Slatyfork that weekend. We drove up to check out the race Saturday night by the powerlines and was stoked to see the Single speeders kicking A$$. That course looked pretty tough in the dark.

If it wasn't for the mud the course would have been super fast, instead it was pretty challenging to say the least. While RiderX took my bid as the 4th member of SweetCheeks, Team Severed Nuts a Sport team (yes gears) took this lowely 29" rigid singlespeeder in when no one else wanted him.
I ran a 34 x 18 on my Monkey best lap was 1:12, was set to get close to an hour lap time till my tire blew off the rim on my second lap, crazy stuff.
