Phil Wood Hubs for life spam...

Dear All,

First of all sorry for the spam. Checked in with Francis and this is approved.
In case you are not familiar with "The Big Fix" ride please see details here. www.fixhistio.org
Yes, that is riding fixed gear bikes from Davis CA to West Newton MA.

We are doing everything we can to help from providing hubs, building custom bikes, generating exposure at trade shows, and just getting the word out in general.
It is a very worthy cause! In short it is a disease that targets children and young adults.
The symptoms are like cancer and there is no known cure.

So here is the deal, for a mere $50 donation someone gets a shot at 15 pairs of Phil Wood hubs. That is a sweet deal considering if you only donate $50 you have a 1 in 200 chance.
Link here www.active.com/donate/fixhistio/philwood

You could hook up all you buddies or make a mint in the classifieds and keep enough hubs for your stable.

Please help if you can.
Thanks for reading and happy holidays.
Brent

Let me get this straight: the winner gets all 15 pairs?

I'm there!

Before I saw this thread, I saw the link (to the donation page) on the Speedgoat blog and followed it. I was reading the details and figured they made a mistake and meant that there were 15 winners, each getting a pair of hubs. After seeing your post, I was like, "HOLY SCHNIKES!" (but cruder )

I entered soon after.

That's extremely generous of you and your company, Brent. Thanks!

Phils are the best damn hubs ever... over at the fgg we are grouping together to try and at least get one... $10/each for 3 chances. Who really needs 15 pairs, my one has lasted 6 years now without any problems and most likely will last for my lifetime, and maybe my kid's. But I could always use a backup BTW Brent I still need to talk to you about those replacement spacers for my front hub... Interbike... guy who kept buggin you

Yeah, I second that. Very pleased with the new ones. The first BMX pair that I bought in the seventies and raced on for years are probably still going strong somewhere after some b@stard stole that bike in 1981.

Thanks Brent for hooking me up with that last 110mm BMX hub for my Monocog recently, with that front disk hub, they built up a nice flex-free SS wheelset that should probably last me forever and a few rims. Now I just need to put a Phill BB and Eno cranks on it some day.

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks so much for the props and more so for the donations.
I'll give this another bump with some porn that may keep it up for a while...
SS road content.
A little glimpse of the "Big Fix" bike I built up for Interbike so Mojo and crew could get some attention from the industry folk.

Sorry about the fingerprints and thanks again.

I just sent my donation in.....it looks like there's only 21 more donations needed to meet the $10,000 goal.

Well somebody had to win it

Totally blown away...I never thought I had a hope in hell of winning this but I did!

Now Brent is putting all sorts of sick, twisted ideas into my head...I'm still totally and utterly shocked!

No hubs for me although I'm dabbling with the idea of a frame as Brent has suggested. What would I do with 15 pairs of Phil Wood hubs!

Big thanks to Mojo and Brent for putting this show on and for a very worthy cause.

Cheers.

I've seen it and it is a beauty. The polished ti IF lugs are stunning. I was actually offered the bike in place of the hubs...but decided on something different. I'm not sure if I can share the photo
