Tamarancho Trailwork
Tamarancho trailwork, Saturdays in December and January
Help maintain the best bike legal trail system in Marin
From Danny Forer, Tamarancho Bike Coordinator.
Trailwork at Camp Tamarancho The trails at Tamarancho were built, over a 6 year period by volunteer cyclists. The construction was paid for and coordinated by the Bicycle Trails Council of Marin (BTCM) with president Jim Jacobsen supervising the project. Each year, since the construction, BTC coordinates trailwork days to maintain the trails. This involves improving drainage, cutting back foliage, removing invasive plants, and more.
This is your chance to help the best bike legal trail system in Marin.
Details:
* Dates: Saturdays Dec 12, Dec 19, Jan. 2, Jan 9, Jan 16, Jan 23
* Time: 10 am (sharp) at camp. Usually work until 1pm or so.
* Location: Meet at the center of the camp. You can drive up or ride your bike. Give yourself ample time to get to meeting location.
* Bring: Work clothes, sturdy shoes, gloves. We supply all tools, snacks and drinks.
* Rain: Steady rain cancels.
For more information contact: Jim Jacobsen--BTCJim@comcast.net or 415/488-1665.

Bump to remind you all...
If you have ten or fifteen minutes while enjoying the trails, set your bike down and pull some broom. The ground is soft and it gives you some satisfaction that you just can't get anywhere else. Many hands make small work of big jobs.
See you out there either way I hope.

Ut was a grat day to dig up some trail
Thanks to those who showed up. I think we had ten or twelve make it today which made for some good progress on rolling grade dips, drain clean outs and other remediation. A bit of pruning and Team Hamanamanamanama had a contingent pulling broom and working over on Porcupine for a great post rain day of trail work.
Tag, you're it....

Another good day
We had a great crew out yesterday, and armored a bunch of the slippy parts with some heavy gravel. Good work people
Two more rounds to go.

No Trail Work 1/23
First of all ,thanks to all who came out last weekend, we did a lot of work and got things ready for all this rain....So we are NOT working this Saturday 1/23
With all the rain, and with not as much work left, we won't need a full crew. Save yourselves for the next date TBA, there will be some clean up work to do later in the season...
