Haro Xeon
Just wondering if a Xeon-S is considered All-Mountain and what everyone thinks of the bike in general. I'm interested since there isn't much about them in the forums (even the Haro forum).

I built up an 18" haro Xeon for my wife to ride and have to say, it's a great bike. Recently my all mountain bike, which is a DB Mission was out of commision with some broken spokes and I borrowed my wifes xeon. It took 2 two rides to get everything in tune, suspension is really finicky while setting up. After you have the correct sag, compression and rebound set, it really pedals well for 31lb bike. You can get out of the saddle and crank your pedals on techy climbs. Center of gravity is low and taking corners is no problem. Solid platform, no flex in the rear and have to say, people out on the trail are always complementing me on how the bike looks...which doesn't really matter...but. pM me if you have specific questions.

there are two things i don't like in this bike:
1. shock is not protected from mud going from the rear wheel
2. seat tube angle is too small so it will be a little harder to choose proper seat post.
all other things are pretty AM)

I've got to say the Haro Xeon suspension action was not any different riding for me than a very low monopivot, and sag adjustment is apparently very limited. I did a short demo on one and wanted off it right away. I found it pedal bobbed about like a low monopivot or low URT and braking wasn't very good in traction. The Haro tech carefully set it up for me with 20% sag, apparently sag must not be more than 20%, 15% is recommended, maybe it would have pedaled better with 15% sag. Also firm Propedal was recommended, when I flipped the RP23 Propedal off it was quite the pogo ride I haven't had in a demo ride in over 10 years.
Anyway for AM setting 25 to 30 percent sag is more ideal for rough trail and downhill bump traction. The shallow sag Xeon suspension may be OK for lighter XC/Enduro smooth trail using a firm platform shock, and others may like it. I didn't like it at all for my interest in rough trail.
Try to get a demo ride, even a parking lot ride is better than not before buying a bike.

I bought a Xeon back in March
It's got a Monarch 3.1 and with correct sag set up and floodgate used there is very little ped bob experienced.
i have the base model and i'd love to ditch the Marz 44's but I'm not exactly pushing the bike to it's outer limits anyway.
as a heavier bike I find it pedals really nicely and climbs quite well too
i've u/g'd the stem and bars (kore stem/ EA70 bars) and gone clipless with some M520's.
the only major gripe is with the Truvativ FireX crankset.
the middle and big chainring bent really easily.
nothing a trailside rock smashing couldn't alter, but it happened all too easily
