'10 Cannondale F5 v. '10 Trek 6000

What's goin on everyone? I'm looking to make the transfer from bmx to mountain bikes due to too many injuries over the years. Anyway, I was wanting to see what some opinions on these two bikes are. I've been hearing that the Trek is over-priced, and I don't know the first thing about Cannondale, so if I could get some help with which bike is better overall, that would be great.

Cheers, John.

i was doing the same considerations and ended up with a RH SL Pro =x
haha

but seriously, why not consider specialized? they're specs are very hard to beat. they both weigh about 29lbs. Check with specialized and ask what the RH Expert Disc weighs?

the RST fork is kind of a joke. i rode it, it feel like good quality, but doesn't sound anything like the beefy Recon fork that i was moving from. You can hear the coils compressing on every hit.

personally i think the F5 looks better. but try to increase your budget and go for a RH SL model or the F4 at least!

Well, I was looking at the F4 but since it has the same frame as the F5 I figured I would just go with the 5. Also, I was thinking that if I out grow or blow up the components on the F5 I can always upgrade later on. I'm not dead set on a C'dale, I'm gonna continue to look at other manufacturers, but C'dale is the front runner.
