Avid Juicy 3 Gap
Does anyone has any suggestion on how to narrow down the gap between brake pads. The space between pads so wide that when braking the levers almost touch the handlebar. Greatly appreciated your suggestions and tips.

Pump the lever a few times until the pistons extend further. Does the lever feel firm when it does engage?

The lever feel soft when engaged. Only firm when it almost touch the handle bar.
Do I need to adjust anything at the caliber section?

You probably have air in the lines. You should get your brakes bled to get the firm feeling back.

There's an adjustment set screw between your brake handle and bar. There's 2 set screws there, but I believe it's the smaller of the two that you need to adjust in to move your lever out (at least where it engages). If that doesn't work, then It's probably air in the line as stated above.

Model Juicy 3 don't have the adjustment screw. I might have to bleed the break again then.

That's strange, mine do. Mine are 2008 models if that makes a difference.

Juicy 3's have a screw that will change the extension of the brake lever itself (lever reach), but doesn't have the adjustment knob that will change the pad contact. If you want to narrow the gap between the pads and rotor, take the wheel off and squeeze the brake lever. Obviously, be careful and dont go too far!
