any info?, anyone got their new stuff? still debating vector vs ccdb air. with price hike for vectors ($579+50 dw tune) i am starting to lean towards ccdb which can be had for little under $500. opinions?

I have the vengance DLA air which superb, I don't doubt that the vector will be any different,
I wasn't sure which one to go for,
I think there are five factory tunes for the vector, at extra cost like you say
In the end I opted for the ccdb air, only two rides very happy, the small bump absorbs ion is unbelievable,

Vengeance is a step-down fork, Vector is a shock?

to reduce a travel a bit, 2-3 mm. my bike is 650b convert and needs little less travel so the bigger wheel doesnt rub seat tube at full compression. in my current rp23 i use 3 1mm plastic washers from HD around shaft.

You could try offset bushings for the mounting hardware if you have enough frame clearance. $20 a pair I think on eBay. Or just shim it the same way you did with your current RP23.

Gotcha, makes sense but I hadn't ever heard of those before. You might want to contact Cane Creek, they've been helpful to me when I've had questions.

I just installed a 2013 Vengeance and 2012 Vector w/ DW Link tune (HLR Air for both) on my HD. I'll try to get a review up by next week in the Ibis forum. My initial impression is very positive.

great, please do. i have HD too. where did yo get 2012 vector? there is opportunity to get ccdb air for $470 right now, so i might end up going this route. with new hi flow inner can and xv outer can it should remedy all the issues people are having with it on HDs.

Straight from X-Fusion. The CCDBA is a great shock and you will definitely need the new can and outer to make it work right. For me it was a simple decision of getting a factory specific DW tune vs waiting while the bugs between the HD and CCDBA are sorted out.

have ridden the vector and the ccdb and i vode 2 hands for the vector air.
Has been working flawlessly for and year, while i had problems with cane creek all the time. It went ack for service a few times and i just got fed up with it.
There is not really a noticeable difference in performance, a little difference in tunability and huge difference in reliability. Not too much is spoken of ccdba problems, but when you are faced with it and start digging, you find many people who have problems with it....
