    Universal bearing puller?

I need to replace bearings on a 2011 Giant Trance X2

I also have full suspension Kona, Niner and other Giants in my fleet of bikes I maintain for the household.

I was thinking of purchasing a bearing puller kit I can use on all the bikes, but not sure which to get.

I came across this one, but its expensive.
Amazon.com: ABI Universal bearing puller set - 8-32mm: Sports & Outdoors

Any suggestions on cheaper bearing puller kit?

I read a sale's ad for the ABI puller and it say's "don't use a hammer to pull bearings". Uh well technically this is a slide hammer. Personally I prefer to press in / out when possible. I usually contact the frame manufacture and ask if they have special tools or what they suggest. I usually end up w/ a threaded rod, ton of sockets & flat washers.

Provided you don't plan to reuse the bearing, it's perfectly fine to hammer them out instead of pressing them out. The only thing which gets hurt in that situation is the bearing.

Kukko is the brand to look for in that case.

About the same cost as the "bike specific" brands, but industrial quality.
