    Totem Solo Air Leaking Air

I just purchased a totem solo air via good 'ole pinkbike. It arrived to me with 5psi of air, and once the air spring is pumped it proceeds to lose ~5psi every time the fork is compressed. My local LBS will charge an arm and a leg just to merely look at it, and I certainly don't have the money to throw around just to even find out what's wrong. Could this be an easy fix? Or something ghastly and expensive?

5cc's of gear lube or stp or similar on the piston might do the trick. The Orings are consumables and might need replacing. There is much info on this, spend the time...
