Suggestions for Jamis Durango sport SX

    Hey all,
Getting into bigger and bigger drops lol, starting to get to about 4 feet... well right now my jamis durango sport SX has only 80 - 100 mm of travel (Manitou Six). I know im getting to the limmit of this, and id love to think about mabye a shock upgrade on the bike (Hopefully going for a Giant Reign 1 next year!) so nothing really expensive yet enought to keep me going a little higher. I kow that i got a hadtail now but how far can I go? mm wise? Ive hear that you change the geometry of the bike when you go really big. is that right? any suggestions?

    Thanks Bryce

A longer travel fork not only affects the geometry but adds stress to the headtube/downtube junction. The Durango sport SX isn't really designed as a dirt jumper or urban assault bike so if you put a 120-130mm travel fork on it, you increase the odds of snapping the frame. You should be looking at the Jamis Komodo for a long travel hardtail.
