SR Suntour XCR MG on a Trek 3500

Would it be worth the upgrade for about 100 bucks?
Amazon.com: SR Suntour XCR MG Lockout Suspension MTB Fork 100mm Black: Sports & Outdoors

    Yes, NO, any other suggestions?

What fork do you currently have? Hard for us to call that fork an upgrade if we have nothing too compare it to.
Although in saying that, the XCR is still a very basic fork, no rebound etc.
I don't crash, I just have slightly uncontrolled dismounts!

Not really an upgrade then, unless you count the ability to lock the fork as one, otherwise I'd keep looking/saving up for a better fork. A Rockshox XC28 or 32 would be a better fork if you don't want to spend a great deal and you are just doing general trail riding.
Are you running disc or v-brakes?, as this may also somewhat limit your options (I ask because the fork you linked to has v-brake mounts).

Look into the Suntour upgrade program... For an extra $75 you can get a Raidon. $175 for an air fork with lock out and rebound damping? Seems like a no Brainer to me.

    Here's the upgrade thread--

If you want to upgrade your Suntour fork
For 240 you can get a RockShox Recon Gold at 1.5lbs less from Random Bike Parts.

I got the Recon and I love it. If you don't care about the weight, get the Raidon at $175...if you want to start shaving some weight off, spend the extra $75 and get the Recon Gold. It's super easy to tune and super fun to ride.
