Shock for a Specialized Epic Pro

I have a 2003 or 2004 Specialized Epic Pro which has a sid Team 80mm shock on it. I would like to upgrade to a new front shock with more travel. What is the most travel that I can put on an Epic without throwing off the geometry for normal XC riding? Also any ideas as to a good medium price shock?

I used to ride my 03 Epic with a 105mm Marzocchi Marathon and loved the way it rode.

I just built one up with a brand new 2007 RS Reba SL 100mm. I bought it brand new for $200. I thought that was a very good deal and am really happy with the purchase. The bike is handling great. However, I think the way I have it set up is too high with my stem/riser bar. On steep climbs I'm having a hard time keeping the front end down. Other than that, I think the 100mm (for me) is working great. Good Luck!
