    Shock bushing stuck

I have a Fox DHX5.0 and the aluminum adapters on the air chamber end are stuck in the bushings. I haven't been able to move them at all, the bushings on the other end come right out. I don't care about the adapters and just want them out. I'm at the point now I'm ready to drill it out till one side comes off so I can push the bushing out! I've tried putting a screw extractor in them to spin them out, clamped the bushing in my vise and tried to spin it nothing. It wont spin, work outward nothing.

Anyone got any advise on how to get them out?

Press it out with a vise and sockets.

You can't press the bushing out till the aluminum frame adapters are out. That's what is stuck and won't come out.

Drill them out. Don't use a drill bit larger than 31/32 (.468 inches) or 12 millimeters.

If its "pin and sleeve" reducer hardware you can press everything out.

If its "two piece" hardware then a bolt extractor should be able to bite in and allow you to grab and pull. Not talking about using an easyout to "spin" it off.

Try a few drops of PB Blaster. Drilling it out seems excessive.

Screw extractor won't loosen it? Never heard of such a thing. If it's that seized then I would recommend drilling out the reducers, working up to the largest bit your drill can handle. Then with a hammer and chisel gently from the side see if you can get it to collapse on itself. Repeat with the other side. Aluminum is soft, shouldn't be too big a deal.

I suppose you're replacing with the urethane ones.
