RT3 vs. DB Air for Tallboy LTc?

    Hey guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a rear suspension upgrade.

I'm current running a fox CTD float and it feels a little lifeless to be
    honest.

I'm looking to get the RT3 Monarch or Cane Creek DB Air...

Which would you choose and why for a Tallboy LTc?

    Thanks!

What kind of terrain are you riding? If you're going to be charging down longer descents that'll put some serious heat into your shock I'd say piggyback all the way. If you're lookin at shorter descents it may be worth lookin at a few non piggy back options.

Unless you're bombing huge descents I'd send your Float CTD to Avalanche and have Craig work his magic or look at the Cane Creek DB Inline that is just hitting shops now (less weight and less coin). I'd go for these options over the Monarch.

If you're set on a piggyback options to look at:
    -Cane Creed DB Air CS
-X Fusion Vector Air HLR (some people absolutely love this shock)
-BOS Kirk (Arts's Cyclery now is a BOS service center)
    -Rock Shock Monarch+

I personally would go with Avalanche as a first step and look at the Cane Creek options along with X-Fusion next. Let us know what you go with.
