    Marzocchi

    Rock Shox

which fork is the better fork all around?

i'll be installing it on my Specialized P.1 AM Disc that currently has this stock fork on it:
SR Suntour SF9-XCM-V2, 100mm, 1pc. alloy lower, 30mm Hi-Ten stanchions, coil/mcu spring w/ preload adj., spring seals, disc only

    Two completely different forks

The Marzocchi is specifically designed for Dirt Jumping (hence the name), the Tora is not. The Tora is a better trail fork but will not withstand a huge amount of drops and jumps, whereas the DJ is not a good trail fork, but will hold up to more aggressive riding.

since i live in NYC, i will be doing mostly paved riding. but many curbs/potholes/bumps that are 5-6inches deep, and curbs, 5-6inches up. which would be the better fork for this kind of riding?

and P.S. just to be clear, both will definitely fit onto my Spec. P.1 AM Disc right? bike here: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...=40346&eid=103
