Roco RC World Cup. Won't let me post in the Marzocchi forum.

Hi just need some general info.
Just got a 7point frame with a Roco RC World Cup on it..
So as near as I can figure it out adding air changes how easily it bottoms out, the knob at the bottom changes the rebound. And compression changes the rate at which the stroke compresses.. please correct me if im wrong!

My question is what does tightening or untightening the spring do? I know it changes the springs stroke length, but how does this affect the ride?

And I'm about 170 lbs. and I like things a touch stiff.. im thinking of buying a 350 lbs spring as opposed to the 300 it come with.. good idea?

    any info is muchly appreciated!

That is the preload adjust for the spring. Once you are running the proper rate spring you can use the preload adjustment to get the correct sag. For a 7 point it should be about 33% or 1/3 of the shocks stroke. The most important thing with a coil sprung shock is getting the right spring rate for your weight.

According to the Mojo spring rate calculator 350 lbs would be a perfect spring for you. I'd go far that, then adjust the preload collar to the appropriate sag.
    Bike good, work bad.
