    RockShox Revelation travel adjustment?

    Hey all,
I'm looking for a nice trail fork for a 29er build. I need 120mm travel, and prefer white (yeah, I'm a little bit vain ).

I really like Rebas, but for some reason it appears they don't make them in 120mm anymore and the newest ones can't be extended from 100 to 120. Old ones are hard to find, and even then they usually have 20mm axles (I need QR or QR15).

I found the 2013 Rockshox Revelation RL Solo Air 140mm 29" and I really like it, but I've heard conflicting reports about whether or not you can put a travel spacer in it to reduce it down to 120mm. Does anyone know the answer or have experience with this?

    Thanks.

The 2013s use a different spring design than the previous year models. In the past, you could insert space them down, but the new air spring won't allow it. I have heard that you could swap the entire air spring with a shorter travel one, so you should be able to order a 130mm or 120mm air spring and replace the whole thing.

It's white, it has 120mm of travel and is available with either 9mm QR or QR15.

This is correct. The new spring design uses a dimple in the walls of the air chamber to balance positive/negative air spring pressure, just like the one on Fox Float rear shocks. This means you can't use travel spacers. You can, however, buy a new air shaft assembly.

Thanks for the replies. That explains why I was getting conflicting reports. Any idea where to find the air spring assemblies / how much $?

    Thanks guys!
