Rockshox Revelation 426 Stuck in Locked Out position

Hi, Relative newbie to MTB so go easy. My Revelation 426's are stuck - i have hardly any travel in them at all. The Lock out key on the fork turns but has no affect on the forsk at all. Both upper and lower chambers say 120psi ? Any ideas ? Had forks since 2008. Never serviced.

Is the fork still fully extended?

Does the knob turn with out stopping now?

My first guess would be that the rod snapped and orfice is stuck in the closed position.

Yes the fork is still fully extended. The lock out knob turns as it used to ... but minimal compression (as if locked out).

I'm in no position to service the forks myself - would a good bike shop be able to service these or would you recommend sending them away for repair?

It's a Rock Shox, so the only option is to bring it to a LBS. You cannot send directly to RS for repair (last time I checked). A competent bike shop should at least be able to take a quick look and determine what might be the problem.

Most shops work on a time basis. So it will cost however much it takes them to figure it out and get it fixed.
