Well after trying to find a solution to the squeaky noise on my 2013 monarch rt3 I finally decided to take it apart. After taking the air can off the shock I remounted the shock on my bike and compressed it up and down. The noise was a lot quieter without the air can which supprised me because a lot of people were saying that the noise was coming from a surfase finish problem inside the damper body. After hearing this I slid the air can back over the main seal on the red piston and slid the air can up and down. I would say that 3/4 of the noise is coming from the seal ring that runs up and down inside the air can. Extra grease/lube did not help the noise so im wondering what every one thinks about this. Im thinking there is either a problem with the finish inside the air can or it is just a crappy rubber seal. Any thoughts??
