Rockshox Monarch RT3 basic set-up and tuning guide/tips.

This is just a BASIC tuning guide I wrote up for those new to the Rockshox Monarch RT3 rear shock and confused by the levers, dials etc (as I was when I first saw them). It's just a simple start for playing around with a BASIC set-up. Mine is a 2012.
I'm no expert, just passing on some info that would have helped me when I first bought the bike. If anyone more qualified wants to correct me or add more info, please do.

How your tuning ends up will depend a lot on the factory tune of your shock, your weight, bike type, suspension design or lever ratios, preferred riding terrain and riding style etc etc.

The little red/blue letters on the shock will tell you how Rockshox factory 'tuned' your shock internals before it left them. I believe Rockshox now use the L M H / L M H Rebound/Compression tunes (LM = low rebound / medium compression).

If you wish to dive further into tuning...

EDIT. Sorry to cut the guide short but as it says in my post below, I have rewritten this guide and made it more comprehensive. See it here:

    Hope it helps.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. You would think that the shock/fork manufacture's would make something like this available.
