RockShox Duke SL vs. Duke XC

hey guys I can get a good deal on either of these forks and I was wondering which one you would rather go for. I ride XC and it will be going on a 05' Hardrock. I heard the SL has a better damping system than the XC. What's your take on this?

    Thanks.

I believe this is an older fork. Check the year, and how easily parts are available. I say whatever is the best deal. What are you putting it on? How much travel? 80 or 100 mm or u-turn? How much do you weigh? What are you using it for?

The Duke stopped being made about 05-06, decent forks, and the SL was a step higher in price than the XC because of the damper. I have a duke race (like the SL but with adjustable compression damping/lockout) and it's a fairly decent fork, durable, fine for XC, but not too plush (compared to other forks in the class) (although this might be fixable with tuning), and as the previous poster said, picking travel to fit your needs is something to think about.
