    replacement fork for 2000 tassajara

damn, just wrote this out but got a sever error when i submitted it

i need to replace the long-dead manitou magnum r that came on the bike.

i need something cheap that will mesh with the bikes geometry. it only needs to last for 6mo-1yr as i will hopefully be buying a new bike then.

right now I am looking at the manitou axel elite. last week a bunch of sites were selling them for 109, although most have suddenly bumped it $50.

the most important thing is that it fits a pre-genesis tassajara. the bike is already a bit large for me, and i don't want to mawke the top tube any higher as the top tube is already too high and it really sux when I need to put a foot down on something steep, i have to smack the top tube into my groin then lean over 6in before my foot hits the ground.

edit: looks like it might be a '99, all silver paint job, none of that 2-tone paint from the newer ones.
