    Replace the Indy xc. Suggestions?

I ride a '97 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo that needs a fork upgrade/replace. I have a horrible Rock Shox Indy XC fork. This is my budget bike that I mainly ride in Stockholm as a commuter bike. I bike through the forest to School on rocky, rooty trails, but I also use the bike on weekends for some single track. I weigh 150 sopping wet so don't need anything too hardcore. I want to get something that doesn't overextend my budget. I'm an artist and Student and have little money. I don't really know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm open to buying used stuff (ebay), too.

Living in Sweden makes me miss the Pacific Norhtwest. I miss the Mountains!!!

The Rock Shox Tora line offers a good performance bang for your buck. They're a bit on the tank side as far as the weight, but perform quite well for the price. Even the cheaper Rock Shox Dart 3 would be a significant performance upgrade over that old Indy XC.
