Question for those who rebuild thier own Talas III...

I am hoping someone can help...

I need to replace some of the O-rings in my Talas III air spring. Specifically, the very small ones inside the adjustment rod that controls the shock height.

I would rather not buy the whole rebuild kit from Fox.

Fortunately, the o-ring sizes are on their parts / disassembly diagrams.

Has anyone ever sourced the O-rings from a source other than Fox? If so, where did you go? I see a number of different o-ring materials...which is the best to use? I was thinking about using Viton type O-rings, but looking for suggestions.

The other O-rings look fine. I can get three sets of the o-rings needed for the Talas for around $8.00.

    Thanks in advance

For the small price penalty, it's totally worth it to simply buy the factory parts and be done with it imo. If those are bad, then the others are close too so you might as well tighten it up and make it new again :-)
