    Push 2004 Float R or 2012 RP3?

I have an older 2004 Fox Float R that needs rebuilding. I can get it done at Push or get a RP23 off a new unridden bike for similar cost

    What would you do?

If the RP23 has the right tune for your bike and you feel your bike could benefit from Propedal
I would buy the new take-off RP23 and ride it until it needs to be Pushed!
The newer shock has better dampening than a 2004 shock besides.

is the take-off RP23 the correct tune for your bike? does it have boost valve and if so what is the pressure?

I see a disturbing amount of shocks for sale on ebay and even mtbr that don't list the tune.

Any pushed float is better than any new float.
