So I took out the v-brake boss studs and didn't realize that it held the stanchions to the arch. Went on a ride and realized all of this when the shock started separating and spit fluid all over my new wheel and brand new not-even-bedded bb7's... Luckily it didn't come apart during a bunny hop. So...I checked the service manual I have and it doesn't mention anything about separating those two pieces. The oring crumbled apart in my hand (ten years old) and needs to be replaced, but I need to know how I'm going to take this thing apart.
