Is it possible to convert a coil fork to an air fork

While removing my spring in my xc32tk i accidentally broke a small piece that changes the preload and i was wondering if it is possible to just convert the fork to an air sprung fork by buying all of the neccasary components, instead of having to buy a new spring and pieces etc...

Maybe. If the walls are scuffed from the coils, your air spring will leak. It would also be more expensive. You can more than likely buy a new preload adjuster from your LBS.

That is true. The big problem realy is that the black x firm spring is to soft for me. I fear that if i do a drop higher then two feet that it would bottom out hard. I only have a couple hours of riding on the bike and the couple small ledges that i went off of around town got almost all of the 120 mm travel.
