    pike 426 help

i just replaced my float 120 with a pike 426 dual air u turn and can't get it set up right.

    i'm about 140-145 fully geared

    + 55psi
    - 50psi
    rebound middle
    compression fully opened
floodgate minimum setting (full counter clock)

what i'm having issues with is trail chatter at high speeds. it feels like a jackhammer. increasing and decreasing my rebound did not help. at the current setting riding a slower speed the fork feels great. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How much did you decrease the rebound?
15mm is a second-best solution to a problem that was already solved.

My first thought is to try going faster on the rebound. I ran my rebound as fast as I could without it being too bouncy. It was a tad bouncier than I would have liked on really slow, big bumps, like going slowly through a rock garden or over a log pile, but the payoff at average and faster riding speeds seemed very much worth it to me.

The rebound on the Pike is just a simple orifice damper, not shimmed like the Fox. It is the one drawback to an otherwise stellar fork, IMO.

Looks like I'll try playing with the rebound a bit more and find a spot I can live with
