    Pace RC 41 Fighter

I'm having a very difficult time finding a thru axle for my Pace RC 41 Fighter fork. Does anyone know of a source for this part?

The internal hex is stripped. It's worthless at this point.

I've tried DT Swiss, Pace Cycles, a few US distributors, An Aussie bike shop.....

Does anyone know an English shop that might have one????

Seriously? You talked to the factory and they couldn't help you with this? Might want to call back and sound pissed this time because they aren't doing their job.

Does it look like this one from the DT Swiss EXC 150 fork?

That looks like it Rockyuphill. While researching this part I found the DT Swiss version of the Pace RC41 Fighter is the EXC 150TA. I just can't get a definative answer from DT Swiss or from the American distributor in Grand Juction CO. if the thru axle is the same. The Grand Jucntion dosn't have spare parts, just complete forks

I will make a phone call for you today, I know Pace Cycles quite well, used to make their stanchions for them a few years back. Will post back.

Not being totally altruistic, I have an RC41 Fighter in need of some TLC, the spares issue interests me.

They are available in the UK approx 16.00.
They need to know the fork model and year.
You should be able to order through the US distributor:

    Terry, Thanks for the info!

Quality Bicycle Products does not distribute Pace products anymore. Their Customer Service Dept. (Chad....thanks) sent me back to the U.S. Importer. I've got a call into them. At this point I haven't heard back. In addition, I did get a response from Pace, They're not sure if the part is the same as the EXC 150 TA.

    The saga continues........

DT Swiss haven't made any significant changes since they bought Pace's fork line so it should be the same axle. They are supposed to be revamping some of the forks in the next model year (and they did add the 15mm thru axle option to the EXC-150 for 2009).

Something you might try while you're waiting is to dig out the jewelers files and see if you can convert your rounded out hex into a larger Torx style socket. Maybe a T40 or T45 size.
